Wedding Photographer finds Bald Eagles Nest near Toronto

I couldn't believe it. While scouting for photography locations I found a Bald Eagles nest 5 minutes from Toronto proper. VERY close to the QEW Expressway. Not just that but they were also mating! INCREDIBLE! Let's hope this nest has some little eaglets soon!

Bald Eagle Flying Toronto

In the 1950s the bald eagle population in Ontario almost vanished. While bald eagles have made a remarkable recovery in recent decades thanks to conservation efforts and the banning of harmful pesticides like DDT, they still face threats in Ontario and beyond. Habitat loss, pollution, and collisions with power lines remain significant challenges for these iconic birds. Conservation organizations and government agencies continue to work tirelessly to protect bald eagle habitats and educate the public about the importance of preserving these majestic creatures and the ecosystems they inhabit.
