Photography: A Challenge Worth Taking Liberty Grand is stunning, but the Artifacts Room also presents a specific challenge to photography—low light. The dim atmosphere is perfect for a romantic celebration but requires a bit of creative lighting magic to adequately record the moment.

Cue: my faithful off-camera flash setup. By placing flashes around the room, I was able to balance the warm light of the room with just enough crisp light to cover the couple and their guests without losing the venue's signature dark appeal.

At sunset, we took full advantage of the courtyard, where soft evening light infused their portraits with a romantic, otherworldly glow. And when night fell? That's when the magic really started. Due to some inventive off-camera flash, we frolicked in light and shadows, rendering the courtyard a cinematic backdrop that felt straight out of a classic romance.

The Reception: A Candlelit DreamInside, the Artifacts Room was transformed into an enchanted reception space. The warm glow of hundreds of candles flickered against the exposed brick walls, as guests dined and celebrated under glittering chandeliers. With moving speeches and a crowded dance floor, the night was full of energy and emotion—everything a wedding reception should be.
