Scarborough Wedding Photography
Frequently asked questions: Scarborough region
1. What are some great photography spots in Scarborough?
Scarborough is very unique because it has some of the best areas to capture epic photos. Scarborough Bluffs and Guild Park and Gardens are our favourites and both are less then 10 min away from each other. The Bluffs make you feel like you are in the Mediterranean with its soaring cliffs and turquoise waters.
2. Do I need a permit for my Scarborough photography shoot?
Generally speaking yes. Most parks and venues do require a permit and many can be found on the Toronto website. They can range from $120 to $400 depending if its in a park or inside a venue.
3. What kind of camera gear and lens' do you use?
I love Canon cameras due to their amazing colour and focus capabilities. I use a Canon 5D Mark IV with the following lens', Canon 1.2f 85mm , Canon 1.2f 50mm, Canon 2.8 70-200mm, Sigma ART 20mm 1.4f, Sigma ART 35mm 1.4f.
4. What are some of the best Wedding Reception Venues in Scarborough?
Our personal favourite is The Guild Inn conveniently located right best Guild Park and Gardens. This historic venue was recently transformed a few years back with an additional wing that can hold 4 weddings.
5. Why even bother hiring a wedding photographer for my wedding?
Some leave it to their uncle/close relative to shoot the biggest day of their lives and most if not all usually regret it. Wedding photography is a highly tuned skill that is only attainted by shooting 100 + weddings. With so many moving parts only from experience can you anticipate photos before they happen and create photos rather then take them.
