The Reflection Pools – Maximizing the Angle
Wind often ruins the water's reflection. I get my camera practically touching the ground using a tilt screen to maximize the reflection angle, capturing the architecture even on breezy days.
The Geometric Architecture – Perfecting the Lines
The modern design requires absolute symmetry. I use specific focal lengths and careful post-production to keep all the building's striking geometric lines perfectly vertical and distortion-free.

How much does a photography permit cost at the Aga Khan Museum?
For non-wedding clients, photography permits are required for the park and grounds. The fee is $325 on weekdays and $425 on weekends (HST exempt) for a 90-minute session. As a studio specializing in Toronto weddings, we can help you seamlessly navigate these permit requirements.
What is the capacity of the Aga Khan Museum for weddings?
The venue offers multiple spaces with varying capacities. The Atrium can host up to 400 guests for a cocktail reception. For seated dinners, the glass-enclosed Courtyard seats 225 guests, while the Diwan Restaurant seats roughly 85–120 guests. The outdoor Diwan Terrace can accommodate larger groups (up to 350) but requires a tent rental.
Who provides the catering at the Aga Khan Museum?
All catering is provided exclusively in-house by The McEwan Group (led by celebrity Chef Mark McEwan). They offer premium, customizable menus ranging from roughly $150 to $350 per person. Outside catering is generally not permitted unless you have specific religious dietary needs that their kitchen cannot accommodate.
What happens if it rains during a Diwan Terrace wedding?
If you book the outdoor Diwan Terrace, a professional tent is mandatory for larger events to ensure weather protection. The tenting package is a significant additional cost (often starting around $25,000 for draping, lighting, and setup). For smaller events, the indoor Atrium or Diwan Restaurant may serve as backups.
Is alcohol allowed at the Aga Khan Museum?
