3 Creative Techniques I Actually Use
By using handheld glass elements such as venue glassware, I intentionally bend and refract light to create subtle flares, reflections, and soft distortions. This in-camera technique introduces an organic, unpredictable layer that transforms traditional frames into something more ethereal and expressive.
I search for symmetry and layered reflection in environments such as polished marble floors, glass surfaces, and reflective architectural elements. This allows me to place subjects within multiple visual planes, creating depth and a more cinematic, structured composition.
Using intentional motion blur and rear-curtain flash techniques, I capture movement in a way that preserves sharp emotional focus while layering light trails and motion energy around the subject. This creates dynamic, high-fashion imagery that reflects the energy of the reception environment.
