Modern luxury redefined across seven private acres with helicopter-pad arrivals and reflecting pool sunsets.

Modern Luxury in Kleinburg
Photographer's Guide to Arlington Estate Weddings
Contemporary design meets grand scale in a space built for spectacular celebrations. Bringing my vision as a modern Toronto wedding photographer, I use clean compositions and the sprawling manicured grounds to deliver a crisp, high-end editorial aesthetic.
1. The Heritage House – Giant Natural Reflectors
The bright white exterior walls act as a giant bounce card. I use the reflected light from the walls to fill in under-eye shadows, resulting in flawless, high-end editorial daytime portraits.
2. The Main Ballroom – Bouncing High Ceilings
The reception space is massive with high white ceilings. I bounce powerful strobes straight up to create a massive, soft canopy of light over the entire dancefloor, mimicking natural daylight.
3. The Pond & Grounds – Timing the Sun
The open grounds offer zero shade. I schedule this location strictly for the last 20 minutes of golden hour to avoid harsh, unflattering mid-day shadows and capture a soft, romantic glow.
My Guide to the Best Photo Backdrops at Arlington Estate

01
Terrace Fireworks Celebrations
The modern white facade is a masterclass in grand scale. By shooting from the far end of the drive, we capture the private estate’s full luxury entrance in a single frame.

02
The West Wing (The Grand Ballroom)
The private 7-acre horizon allows for clean, unobstructed sunset shots. We utilize the vastness of the property to create "infinite scale" portraits that emphasize modern luxury.

03
The Helicopter Pad (The Grand Arrival)
The iron estate gates provide a sense of exclusive luxury. We use a shallow depth of field to frame the couple, making the entry feel like a private celebrity estate.

04
The Private Carports & Lobbies
The west-facing sunset hill is the secret to high-contrast silhouettes. We utilize the setting sun to create dramatic, editorial frames that emphasize the Estate’s clean, modern architectural lines.

Photography Guide: Arlington Estate Wedding FAQ
Can we actually land a helicopter at the venue for our entrance?
Yes, The Arlington Estate is one of the only luxury venues in Ontario with a private, on-site helicopter pad. This allows you to coordinate a high-impact aerial arrival directly onto the 7-acre grounds. For photographers, this space also serves as a minimalist, concrete stage for modern editorial portraits.
What is the difference between the East Wing and West Wing?
The wings are completely separate and soundproof, each with its own private carport, entrance, lobby, and terrace.
The East Wing: Ideal for intimate gatherings, seating between 80 and 165 guests.
The West Wing: Designed for grand-scale celebrations, seating between 200 and 475 guests. Both wings feature 20-foot ceilings and a "no-pillar" design to ensure unobstructed views.
Is the Heritage House available for ceremonies year-round?
Yes. The 1856 Heritage House is a historic on-site chapel that provides a climate-controlled, European-style indoor ceremony space. It offers a classic white-wood contrast to the modern "glass box" architecture of the main wings. For couples preferring the outdoors, the estate also offers ceremony grounds with a wooden pergola and a 1.5-acre reflecting pond.
How does the venue handle photography on the grounds?
The property is a fully private 7-acre compound, meaning you have exclusive access to the manicured grounds, walking paths, and the signature 1.5-acre pond. Because there are no public walkways or shared park spaces, you can capture wide-angle architectural shots and reflecting pool portraits without outside interference.
Can we host a fireworks display on the terrace?
Yes, The Arlington Estate is a premier venue for professional firework displays. The venue has a preferred partnership with Pyroworld, an Ontario-based company that has produced over 125 shows on the property. The 1.5-acre pond and expansive stone terrace serve as the perfect architectural backdrop for a high-impact finale to your reception.
