The RC Harris Water Treatment Plant is one of those locations that stops people mid-scroll — and for good reason. The Art Deco architecture is unlike anything else in the city, and paired with those sweeping views of Lake Ontario, it creates an editorial, high-end feel that's genuinely hard to replicate. It's the kind of spot that works beautifully for couples who want something a little bolder than a typical park session. If that sounds like you, take a look at my Toronto engagement photography to get a feel for how I approach these shoots — then scroll down to see what RC Harris can really look like

Oh, that golden hour light during Glories and Lichi's RC Harris Plant Engagement... The location truly transforms as the sun starts to dip. The light shifted into this incredibly rich, almost velvety gold, wrapping them both in such a warm, romantic haze. It felt straight out of a movie – whether they were wandering the stone pathways or sharing a quiet moment near the water, everything was bathed in that dreamy glow photographers live for. Just magical for capturing love stories.

I love how a random dog crashed this photo!

A Dance of Shadows – A Special Drone Moment. One of theshoot highlights? A playful and creative drone video capturing their shadows dancing together on the beach. It was random, sweet, and so incredibly them. Sometimes the little surprise moments are what make an engagement session unforgettable.

Why RC Harris is an Engagement Photography GemFor those who are looking for a space that boasts history, elegance, and fantastic natural light, RC Harris is a dream wedding location. The buildings offer an eternal touch, and the views over the water along with open spaces offer space to create, play, and have intimate shots. And if you time it perfectly? That sun-kissed glow will work half of the magic for you.

Spending the afternoon with Glories and Lichi was exactly the kind of session that reminds me why I love this work. Easy laughter, genuine connection, and the most incredible light RC Harris has ever served up — it all came together in a way that felt completely effortless. If you've been dreaming of an engagement backdrop that feels both majestic and beautifully natural, this place deserves a spot on your list.

I'm Lucas T Photography, a Toronto-based wedding and engagement photographer who lives for light like this. If you're planning your own shoot and want that same relaxed, editorial feel, I'd love to hear about it — let's connect
