The 160-Foot Stone Terrace
Plan midday portraits here. The covered stone overhang gives clean open shade when the sun is straight overhead, and the ivy behind you adds texture against the gown. If your timeline puts portraits around noon, this is where I start.
The Formal Gardens & Fountain Court
Midday in the fountain court is bright from every direction. The pale stone, gravel paths, and fountain bounce light back up, which can blow out the highlights on a white gown, so I expose for the dress and move you toward shade when the sun is highest.
The Bridal Suite & Juliet Balcony
The Juliet balcony works for getting-ready photos if the exposure is handled carefully. Standing in the doorway puts you between a dark suite and a bright stone balcony, so I expose for your face and let the outside fall off instead of letting the balcony go white.
The Grand Staircase & Great Hall
The staircase is where I shoot your entrance and descent. The chandelier overhead throws heavy vertical shadows down the dark wood, so I place you where the light lands on your face and keep the shadows off it.

I coordinate with the venue team around portrait timing and access to the formal gardens, stone terrace, and manor interiors, allowing us to move between locations efficiently. The indoor spaces also provide a practical weather contingency when conditions change, helping keep the photography timeline on track.
