Casa Loma Wedding
Chloe & Ryan
After being honoured last year by having our photo featured on the cover of Casa Loma’s wedding brochure, I was excited to get back to one of our favourite wedding venue’s in Toronto.
In the heart of the city lies a place where time stands still. The Gothic revival style mansion perches on Austin Terrace, overlooking downtown Toronto. There, Casa Loma stands surrounded by an ever changing present, while class and sophistication remain perfectly timeless. Once home to the father of Torontonian hydro-electricity, now this house on the hill attracts many tourists, events, and beautiful weddings.
Cue Chloe + Ryan. We loved this couple from the start and could not wait for their big day. Awaiting her grand entrance, the champagne gilded bride’s maids were a shimmering sight to behold as they set their own sights on Chloe, the lovely bride stepping out of a 60’s RollsRoyce Silver Cloud. There, in front of the entrance to The Great Hall, she and her beau, Ryan, laid eyes on each other for the first time on their wedding day. Chloe in an elegant strapless dress and Ryan in a classic black tux, his cream waistcoat matching her dress and setting him apart from his entourage of groomsmen.
As the day progressed, guests filled in to The Conservatory, whose stain glass skylight and perimeter of greenery created a solemn atmosphere, aided bya live cellist and violinist. After a procession of dashing men, stunning women, and cute nephews, the vows were spoken, a glass was trampled, and the knot was tied.
The party then shifted to The Library which had been transformed into a lavish dining hall. A night of touching speeches and teary eyes ended with hilarious props from the photo booth, and outrageous dancing. Ryan and Chloe took this opportunity to sneak out for a quiet moment and share a kiss in front of Casa Loma. The scenery’s hauntingly lit facade illuminated violet, almost as bright as the future ahead these lovebirds.
