Classic Manor & Treed Lawns
Why Vaughan Estate Is One of Our Favourite Wedding Venues
Documenting a celebration at Sunnybrook Estates is a standout experience for my work as a Toronto wedding photographer. My approach here focuses on the intersection of the estate’s layered history—specifically the Vaughan Estate, which serves as the property’s stately centerpiece with its 1920s Georgian architecture and crystal-chandeliered ballrooms—and the candid, cinematic moments that unfold across the manicured stone terraces and private parkland that define this historic sanctuary
1. The Front Lawn & Stone Facade – Classic Estate Portraits
The manicured lawn and stately exterior provide a refined backdrop for wide, cinematic portraits. This area is ideal for couple photos and full wedding party images, especially in late afternoon when the light wraps gently around the stonework.
2. Interior Reception Rooms – Soft, Light-Filled Moments
The Vaughan Estate’s interior spaces are filled with large windows and neutral tones that photograph beautifully. These rooms are perfect for elegant couple portraits, candid moments, and detail shots that feel bright, clean, and timeless.
3. Staircases & Hallways – Editorial, Story-Driven Imagery
The staircases and connecting hallways create natural framing and leading lines. I use these spaces for more intimate, editorial-style portraits that emphasize movement, texture, and quiet moments between events.

The Vaughan Estate Experience: From Our Couples
"We used Lucas & his associates as our wedding photographer and it was the best choice we made. Not only were they extremely professional and creative with their shots, they helped guide us during the official shoot. They’ve got a ton of cool gadgets used to elevate traditional wedding photos and an eye for the perfect shot. You can really tell they both love what they do as they took both our shot list into consideration and created their own unique ideas on the spot. If you’re a type A bride or not fully comfortable with the whole photography experience, these are your people. Throughout the evening, Lucas showed us shots and checked in on us to see if there were any additional photos we wanted. On such a nerve wracking day, both Lucas and Masood made us feel so confident, my husband now thinks he should be in GQ. Highly recommend."
