Jack pulled off the ultimate surprise. Early one morning, he brought Chelsea aboard a private yacht—rented from Toronto Yachts—for what she thought was just a peaceful cruise through Toronto Harbour. With the city stretching out behind them and the light spilling softly over the water, he dropped to one knee… and everything changed.

As a Toronto engagement photographer, I’ve seen a lot of creative proposals, but there’s something especially magical about ones like this—no crowds, no distractions, just two people floating above the nerves and excitement of a brand-new chapter.

Chelsea’s reaction? The kind every photographer hopes for: laughter, tears, and a moment of stunned, joyful disbelief. She said yes (of course), and I had the best seat in the house to capture it all.

From This Moment On

I love when I get to capture the start of a couple’s journey. Proposals are often overlooked in the bigger wedding picture, but they’re just as meaningful—and just as deserving of beautiful, lasting images.

If you’re planning your own engagement or wedding in the city, and want a photographer who knows how to capture the real stuff—the quiet anticipation, the big reactions, and the in-between moments—I’d love to hear from you.
